Oh, that's some fun shit right there... ~evilgrin~ >:D
strike double post
Wow...thanks for the search link. It's nice not to be a spambot again. I looked up her posting on the old site. My experience there is limited because I signed up in after the cap was met on the old site. This place ended up being where I spent most of my time. I am sure that there are lots of writers like Jodie that I can't find anymore who have archived stuff on the old site. Going through the posts is like 'deep sea exploring.' I feel that Jodie may be gone if she said goodbye 7 years ago or may not want to RP anymore. It's a shame that her work can't be seen in one place because the fantasy worlds of Tioga were so original. I think the drawing of the Starlet is Awesome too. Dov Sherman may have done the art for that...I loved it because it was sort of like a BDSM/TG version of the 'Take on Me' Video with the Comic Book theme.
Thanks for the search tool link, Melissa. I am glad to see you on the boards. Remember that you are a gifted writer, too...not just a Parent of a Website...Go to that place where it is fun to write and not work to write. I'd love to read your stuff again.
I have a feeling Sonja and Elena are TG writers on websites that I surf already ... BG/Ts or Fictionmania, but I can't seem to match the bylines...
Actually, I published one story that never panned out fully. Frak me, that was eight years ago too.
Did you not finish it? Perhaps it was only ahead if it's time. Lots has happened in 8 years...
I don't know about being ahead of its time, LOL...just wrote what came to mind. And those many years ago, I was on a Red Bull rampage. Seriously wacky shit.
Since the protagonists were under-18's, I didn't get sexual with it as did my writing partner who wrote the previous chapter, who in turn picked up where the original author left off. I completed two parts, really fleshing out the characters even more, giving them quirks, male friends to hang with, and a twist that unfortunately never panned out, it was going to be complicated. The titles of the parts of the story say it all...
StickySteph wrote "The Secret Stash" and Sissy Maid Sapphire wrote "The New Girl", you have to read those first.
I am going to read them. Now that I have the cool search tool...I'll give them a read. Thanks for letting me read them
Man, I need to re-visit that world. Tidbits I wanted to create and fill out, but never got around to (I lost touch with my partner, Sissy Maid Sapphire, that really crimped my style, we were a great team)
I did start writing Secrets but then I lost it in the great computer crash of 07 and had no backup....grrrrrrrr...
I got so far as establishing a rapport between the main character's sister, Chelsea to one of the boys....Eric Lucifer Vaughn (Yes, I re-used the name for my UFC alt character). The same kid who went off at Jamie in the last part. Because Chelsea needed a boyfriend too (I loved Raven and Razor, they are such a dynamic couple) and the love/hate thing -- Eric doesn't like James, but loves his sister -- was fun to create.
One of the secrets of "Secrets" was that Eric himself was a TV....naturally I named her Erica. So Erica and Astrid become friends eventually, but as girls. But They all were still "going out" with their designated chosen partners (Jamie with Kitty Pat and Eric with Chelsea).
Also another thing was that since Jamie was forced into the circle, that was why things were starting to get freaky in Little Truths with the Mirror Scene.. And the fact that subconsciously, Jamie still liked the preppy girl, which is was going to be revealed in "Lies." But Jamie was supposed to finally come around and be with Kitty and then the circle's magic would stop being all frakked up. Mother Goddess don't like no liars and cheats...
It also goes without saying that the two leave off on their own, away from the asshole parents. That was more Sapphire's creation, than mine, but I thought we needed to see just how big of assholes they were to Chelsea...the breakfast scene the next day was even better because it's so much more subtle than the bedroom fight with Mom & Dad.
I was going to write Jamie as timid at first, then his confidence grows the more he embraces Astrid. You can see some of that in the coffee shop scene...and at the end of that part, right before they go to school, it IS Astrid speaking when Jamie says he wants more lipstick. And when Jamie sees his old buddies while dressed in full-on Astrid mode somewhere along the line, she rips them really badly when the two jerkwads try to bully her.
Okay, frak, I'm rambling now....LOL.
Newsflash... There's a new Jodie story up at Fictionmania. http://www.fictionmania.tv/stories/readtextstory.html?storyID=1368973330167292168
Thank you, girls, for all the information and links. I will enjoy reading her works!
I also noticed that there seems to be several versions of "My, My, Are You In Trouble Now?" I wondered whether she re-wrote it several times.
